2024 Editor’s Choice Award Winning – Trijicon Credo 1-10×28

Trijicon Credo 1-10×28

Trijicon enters the double-digit magnification LPVO ring and comes out swinging

Long known for its battle-proven combat optics and bomb-proof miniature red dot sights, Trijicon continues to innovate within the highly competitive low-power variable-optic segment. The current upper echelon of the variable-power sphere is the coveted double-digit magnification range, a ring that Trijicon has thrown its hat into with its new-for-2024, On Target Editors’ Choice Award-winning Credo 1-10×28 model. The competition just got a little more fierce.

A capped windage dial and zero-stop equipped elevation turret round out the 0.1 MRAD per click POI adjustments. The user-selectable illumination dial allows the operator to choose between a red or green illuminated LED segmented circle reticle, with a handy “off” position between each power setting.

The 1-10x Credo steps up to the plate and smacks the reticle choice right over the fence. The segmented circle-enhanced reticle is one of our favorites and provides an ideal balance of fast reticle acquisition for CQB purposes and long-range precision in a first focal plane optic. It appears as a bright red (or green) dot, but as the power ring is increased, the reticle grows to provide the shooter with an extremely useable ranging reticle, complete with lead and windage holds, without ever having to touch the dials. A user-selectable LED brightness dial has an “off” between each setting, which means we’re less likely to leave the reticle lit and kill the battery. The multi-coated, anti-reflective glass paired with a 34mm tube presents a bright and crystal-clear sight picture during low-light conditions, and an extra wide field-of-view and generous eye relief make sure you’re on target quickly.

Between the large 34mm maintube allowing a copious amount of light transmission and the multi-coated anti-reflective glass, the 1-10x Credo presents a crystal-clear sight picture — even in low-light conditions. A repositionable knob makes on-the-fly magnification adjustments quick and easy.

While the Credo is a little on the hefty size at 21 ounces, given its capability, power range, level of durability, and cross-platform uses it offers, the weight is of little consequence, especially true on a hybrid carbine, on which this optic truly shines.
