The scope’s SR1-MIL illuminated reticle sits on the first focal plane for accurate ballistic holds throughout the entire magnification range.

Holding 3 Mils at 300 yards using both the elevation turret and reticle had the same point of aim. Using known holds the same was true out to 630 yards on a 12” round steel plate. Returning to zero it had the same point of impact as originally set. Glass is ED (Extra-low Dispersion) from Japan and held color and contrast to the edges. Clarity was excellent with no yellowing, and the reticle crystal clear no matter the magnification.

Water, shock, recoil and fog proof, the tube has been nitrogen purged. Crimson Trace offers lifetime replacement for the CR2032 battery. Warne’s Gen 2 mount is light, solid, and having the knobs on the left was perfect for the side charging handle on this Savage Arms rifle.
