Wilson Combat Protector Series ARs

Wilson Combat’s new line of Protector ARs consists of carbine and pistol variants, both with a base price of $1,999.95. Pretty much the same gun except for barrel length and stock configuration, we’ll walk you through both. The carbine is built on Wilson Combat Mil/Spec forged upper and lower receivers, and is offered in 5.56 Nato with a 1:8” twist rate, 300 BLK with a 1:7” twist rate and the awesome 300 HAM’R with a 1:15” twist rate, all with a 16.5 -inch match-grade stainless barrel. It features a low-profile gas block, mid-length gas system (5.56 and 300 HAM’R; pistol gas on 300 Blackout), Q-Comp flash hider/muzzle brake, M-LOK compatible hand-guard with a 4-inch Picatinny accessory rail and QD sling mounts, nitride coated precision bolt carrier group with Carpenter 158 MPI bolt, one piece gas ring, heat resistant chrome silicon ejector and extractor springs for long service life, Wilson Combat M2 two-stage TTU trigger with a crisp 4.5- to 5-pound  pull weight, oversize tactical trigger guard, Wilson/Rogers Super-Stoc buttstock, BCM Starburst pistol grip and black or coyote tan Armor-Tuff finish. The pistol version (available in black only) shares all the construction features of the carbine, but is fitted with an 11.3-inch barrel and a Tailhook Mod 2 adjustable pistol brace. The carbine comes with one 30-round magazine, while the pistol includes one 20-rounder. Both offer full-length Picatinny top rails.
