The iconic P225—in our opinion the best looking SIG SAUER pistol ever made—is back in the form of the new P225-A1 ($1,122 with contrast sight; $1,236 with night sights). It retains the exceptional look and feel of the original P225, but has been upgraded with an enhanced short-reset trigger. Like the original, the P225-A1 is a single-stack 9mm with SIG’s classic DA/SA trigger system. It’s built on a hard-coat anodized aluminum frame with a Nitron finished stainless steel slide. Gone is the original’s square-front trigger guard, replaced by a rounded design. It is fitted with a 3.6-inch barrel, black checkered G-10 grip panels and comes with two 8-round magazines. It measures 6.9” L x 5.2” H x 1.26” W and weighs 30.5 oz. empty. SIG also offers the P225-A1 Classic ($1,079)—the same gun with checkered American walnut grip panels and night sights as standard equipment.
